A seven letter word that defines life itself.
A split second where the hand of destiny steps in and changes the entire course of your future.
A second so rare- that there won't ever be one exactly the same during your entire existence.
An opportunity to awaken the soul.
In fact, 86,000 of them in one single day.
How lucky are we to have 86,000 chances in a day to change our lives?
I've found such a deep joy in moments. Such a great importance.
From the beauty of the water. The uniqueness of the tide. The ripples. The waves. The array of blues and greens. The way the reflection of the moon, connects you to a reflection somewhere deep within yourself.
The trees. The wars they battle to grow tall, and mighty. The way they sway on a stormy morning. The melody of the leaves. The colors of the fall- almost indescribable. The way they shed only to grow full of life once more.
Honesty. The key to the heart. The foundation of anything pure. A reminder within the hurt for the builders of those walls inside you- to take a break. One of the only forms of innocence we can cling to during the trials and experiments of our life.
The morning. A collection of seconds, of thoughts, that will define your attitude- define your day.
Life- itself, an experience that words can't do justice. New life, one of the most beautiful things I've seen. A moment of calmness in chaos. The result of a long, stressful process- tiny little hands wrapped around a single finger clinging on for the most innocent form of love.
Love... It's what makes the world go round. A connection. A story. A really tough, high effort- happily ever after. An eye opener. A beginning. A hope. A string of seconds intertwined- when somebody else's moments- and your moments as one, become this thing we call life. The reward.
Loss. The death of a parent, a best friend, an animal. A break up. A separation. A fight- a cloud of the conscious causing the loss of these seconds- the loss to notice the beauty that surrounds. Although its these that are hardest on the soul, I believe it's here you find the importance of these seconds. A moment of realization. Where even the slightest change of hand, could- or could have- put your entire life on a different course. The "wait a second" moments, the "well... shit;" moments, the could've, would've and should haves.
Moments. They make you, break you. They define you.
This is a reminder to myself, and someone real special to me; please do not let them slip away.
This is the quickest way to finding yourself. The quickest way to reminding yourself. The bridges to the deepest crevices in your mind and heart. Embrace them, the good and the beauty of the bad. They are irreplaceable. And they happen all around you, every second, with or without you.
